Presentation
Amrita Dhillon (B. 1990, New Delhi) is an Indian artist based in Berlin. She completed her undergraduate degree in history at Bard College in New York and is currently pursuing her fine arts education at the University of the Arts, Berlin, studying under Professor Thilo Heinzmann. Dhillon is the 2023-24 recipient of the Dorothea Konwiarz Scholarship and received the Artists Inside 2024 Fellowship. Her work has been exhibited in various galleries across Europe, including in cities like Munich, Rome, Hamburg, and extensively in Berlin.
 

Dhillon’s paintings often draw inspiration from family photos, historical images, pop culture, and film. Through her art, she explores themes of alienation and nostalgia, creating a sense of narrative mystery. She works in multiple mediums, including oil paint, watercolor, and printmaking.
